Discover Top Nail Salon in Da Nang for Tourists
By Julie Min

“When I visit Da Nang, soaking up the sun at My Khe Beach and wandering through the charming streets of Hoi An are always on my list. But after spending long days walking around, finding a relaxing place to unwind is just as important to me. After a few days of playing in the sand, my nails were scratched, chipped, and looking pretty rough, so I decided to search for a nail salon that was actually worth visiting. To be honest, searching for “nail salons in Da Nang” brings up dozens of options, but finding one that offers beautiful nails, long-lasting gel polish, a relaxing atmosphere, and attentive service is not as easy as it sounds. After personally trying a few different places, I finally found my favorite. This article is my complete, honest review of one of the best nail salons I visited in Da Nang. It is a great option for women traveling in the city who want to refresh their look, enjoy a relaxing beauty experience, and get gorgeous nails without worrying about overpriced services.”
My First Nail Stop: Aura Nail & Beauty
My trip to Da Nang lasted longer than expected. After a few days of wandering around in the sun, swimming at the beach, and eating my way through the local markets, I decided to take an afternoon for some self-maintenance. After browsing around and asking a few friends for recommendations, I decided to check out Aura Nail & Beauty.
My first impression upon pushing the door open was how pleasant it felt. The salon's vibe isn't overly luxurious or suffocatingly glamorous; instead, it focuses on a cozy, gentle atmosphere. The faint scent of essential oils combined with soft background music really helped to cool down my mood.
This place is perfect for female travelers needing a spot to unwind, or office workers wanting to relax after hours. On the flip side, if you're in a rush and just want to pop in for a quick cuticle trim and a 15-minute express polish, this isn't the place for you.
Skill-wise, I noticed the salon's biggest strength is their nail art. Unlike cookie cutter, industrial-style designs, their sample collection is quite tasteful and unique. I chose a beach themed gel design.
The biggest plus for me, as someone who has tried many salons, is their hygiene: the cuticle nippers were taken straight out of a sterilized pouch right in front of me.
The technician removed my cuticles gently without causing any scratches or stinging, and the gel application was thin and smooth rather than thick and clumpy on the nail bed.
During the process, I was quite pleased with the staff's attitude. They really listened to my preferences to custom-mix colors instead of strictly following a template, and most importantly, there was no pushy upselling. However, because they are so meticulous and have a large regular clientele, the wait time is a drawback.
Even though I carefully messaged them to book an appointment beforehand, I still had to wait over ten minutes for an available nail tech when I arrived. To make up for it, the salon clearly stated their free 3 day warranty policy for any chipping or peeling, which gave a traveler with a packed itinerary like me a lot of peace of mind.
My Overall Experience at Aura Nail:
- Biggest pros: Creative, meticulous nail art techniques and a highly therapeutic atmosphere.
- Biggest cons to consider: Having to wait even with a booked appointment, and the nail service itself takes a bit long.

SORA K-NAIL STUDIO: Definitely Worth a Try
After being in Da Nang for over a month, the sun, wind, and seawater caused my old polish to start chipping terribly. While wondering where to get my nails properly redone, I decided to drop by SORA K-NAIL STUDIO since I heard it's a popular spot among both locals and foreign tourists.
My first impression upon entering was the bustling, lively atmosphere. If you're a fan of Korean style nails that focus on clear, detailed aesthetics and need a budget-friendly price for a long trip, this is a highly reasonable spot. However, if you're looking for a quiet, zen-like space to kick back and take a nap in absolute silence, SORA's crowded vibe won't be ideal for you.
Once I sat in the chair, the prep process immediately put a hygiene stickler like me at ease. The cuticle tools were taken straight out of the sterilizer cabinet and torn from their pouches right in front of me. The next major plus was their consultation.
Instead of rushing to upsell expensive acrylic packages, the nail tech examined my natural nails quite closely, noted that they were weak from the beach, and recommended just a clean-up, a nourishing hand soak, and a thin, reinforcing layer of gel polish. Feeling advised based on my "nail health" rather than just my wallet really won me over.
In the end, getting a gorgeous set of nails completely turned around my tired mood after a long day of moving around. The cuticle work was very gentle and deep-cleaned without causing any redness or irritation.
The gel application was smooth, perfectly hugged my nail shape, and the nail art lines were fine and sharp exactly like the reference photo I showed them.
That said, the wait time is a hurdle you should mentally prepare for. Since the salon gets a lot of walk-ins and foreign tour groups, even though I carefully called ahead to book, I still had to wait about 10-15 minutes for my turn.
On the bright side, before I left, they carefully explained their free 5 day no chip warranty policy. For someone with a travel-heavy itinerary like mine, this guarantee brought a great sense of relief.
My Overall Experience at SORA K-NAIL STUDIO
- Biggest pros: Gentle cuticle care, crisp and perfectly shaped nail art, and a very thoughtful consultation process that prioritizes nail health.
- Biggest cons to consider: The salon is busy so it can get a bit noisy, you have to wait a little even with an appointment, and the restroom wasn't very clean.

CIAO NAIL STUDIO: One of My Favorite Nail Salons
Upon returning to Da Nang for the second time, I visited CIAO NAIL STUDIO based on a few recommendations from travel groups. My first impression when pushing the door open was how put-together everything was. The salon has a very relaxing vibe, free from any loud or chaotic energy.
This place was truly made for those who want an afternoon of self-pampering, love intricate nail art and elaborate rhinestones, or need a hand skin recovery treatment. Conversely, if you only have a strict 20-minute lunch break and want to rush in for a quick cuticle trim and run, the meticulousness at CIAO won't be for you.
What makes me highly rate a nail salon isn't the sparkly bottles of polish, but rather their sterilization cabinet. At CIAO, the cuticle nippers were sealed in sterilized pouches and were only opened once I was in the chair. The technician didn't rush to push the most expensive service on me.
She took my hand, examined my nail beds, and gave me some straightforward advice: "Your nails are currently thin from repeated acrylic applications. This time, you should just get a builder gel to strengthen your nails and avoid heavy rhinestones." It was a warm and genuine level of care aimed at actually protecting my nails, not just a superficial attempt to please the customer.
Ultimately, I opted for a soft jelly gel design with some subtle, embedded nail art. The cuticle work around the nail edges was incredibly gentle with no redness. The gel went on smoothly, hugging the edges perfectly without flooding the cuticles or looking thick and bulky. However, because the salon is popular and has a steady stream of foreign customers coming in and out, a slight wait is to be expected.
My Overall Experience at CIAO NAIL STUDIO:
- Biggest pros: Exquisite nail design skills especially with drawing and applying rhinestones paired with incredibly thoughtful consultation based on the customer's actual nail condition.
- Biggest cons to consider: The staff can sometimes talk a bit loudly.
